Aston Martin heads to Goodwood this weekend for the much anticipated Goodwood Revival, the annual celebration of glorious motoring days gone by.

Held at the famous Goodwood racing circuit in West Sussex, the Revival captures the automotive world as it was from 1948 until 1966. With competitors and spectators in period dress the Revival is a step back in time for motor enthusiasts.

Aston Martin President and CEO Dr Andy Palmer said: “Goodwood provides two very different but equally special events for Aston Martin: the Festival of Speed and the Revival, both events have become genuine highlights of the UK motoring calendar.

“It seems entirely fitting, therefore, that Aston Martin plays its part once again this year and gives the visiting crowds something truly memorable to admire and experience. It is always a delight to see our cars being enjoyed by true enthusiasts and I am especially looking forward to seeing the DBR1 in action.”

A very special selection of classic Aston Martins are set to do battle on the West Sussex track with the highlights including a 1959 DBR1, a 1961 DB4 GT Zagato and a pair of Aston Martin DB3S’ from 1953 and 1955.

The present day is also represented by the new Aston Martin DB11 displayed on the Aston Martin Earls Court 1950’s inspired stand. The DB11 is the first product launched under the company’s ‘Second Century’ plan and is the bold new figurehead of the illustrious ‘DB’ bloodline and an authentic, dynamic sporting GT. It headlines a stunning display of sports cars, which also includes the exhilarating V12 Vantage S Roadster, and the classic DB4. The stand, which is open to the public throughout the event, will have product specialists on hand to impart their knowledge of the full Aston Martin product range.

The Goodwood Revival starts Friday 9 September and runs until Sunday 11 September.
