Best Midsize Off-Road SUVs

Modern SUVs are not as capable as they were used to be in the past. However, some of them are still good at off-road conditions, even being luxurious and sophisticated.

Let’s see which midsize SUVs can guide you through rough terrain, dirt, sand, snow, and rocks.

Toyota 4Runner

If you want decent off-road performance, you can stick with the Toyota 4Runner and search no further. It is one of the best off-road vehicles for the price; it is good on any terrain and will serve you for a long time. However, if you need the luxury or nice smooth driving in the city, there are better options.

Jeep Cherokee

The Jeep Cherokee is a happy medium of the SUV market. It has good off-road handling, low price, medium fuel-efficiency, and a little of luxury features. Nothing especially great, nothing especially wrong.

Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

The Jeep Wrangler is a somewhat controversial vehicle. While it has some real merits (fantastic off-road capabilities and old-schoolish design for instance), it has some blunders such as poor fuel-efficiency.

Lexus GX

The Lexus GX costs a lot, but you will like its blend of top-notch quality and off-road smoothness. Great choice for those who want all within one sophisticated vehicle.

Land Rover Range Rover Sport

Top choice for off-road driving. Land Rover occupied the niche of luxurious, capable, and enduring SUVs both in midsize and full-size classes. The last but not least is the vehicle’s design which is really memorizing and sumptuous.
