Porsche Classic has presented the roadworthy model from the collection of the Porsche Museum, along with a Porsche 356 C Coupé in a style befitting the atmosphere of a contemporary workshop. There was also a very special treat for technology enthusiasts: the engine of a 356 B 2000 GS Carrera 2 cabriolet was started several times throughout the day. The powerful two-liter vertical shaft engine is currently undergoing a complete restoration by the hands of Porsche Classic workshop experts.

At the workbench, a vertical shaft engine and a gearbox from a 356 Carrera were dismantled and put back together again live in front of spectating visitors. The results of a complete restoration that had already been completed were presented in the form of the two-liter engine and gearbox of one of the earliest models in the 911 series, the predecessor to the 911, the Porsche 901.

Porsche Classic was commissioned by the Porsche Museum to restore these units. In addition, selected parts of the Porsche Classic portfolio for models built before 1966 were on display and up for sale.

You can find an overview of Porsche Genuine Parts in the new Porsche Classic catalogue “ORIGINALE”, which is being published for the very first time in English. In keeping with tradition, the catalogue was handed out from the Porsche race service mobile from that era. At Earls Court, Porsche Cars Great Britain gave visitors the chance to see the latest member of the Porsche family, the new Panamera.
