A night in a museum is always a great adventure. But it gets really exciting when the exhibits brought to life are allowed to conquer the night themselves for once.
So the question is, where can the dream cars be found? In Stuttgart of course!
Porsche 956 C
Once the residence of kings and princes, the Porsche 956 C pays a visit to the Neues Schloss in Stuttgart. With a view of the Ehrenhof.
Porsche 956 C
The 956 C struts its stuff on Königstraße. After all, this is the most successful racing car of all time with seven wins in Le Mans alone. Here it stands eye-to-eye with the glass cube of the municipal art museum. The cube was designed by the Berlin architecture firm Hascher + Jehle.
Porsche 935 “Moby Dick“
You have to like maths. Some hate it, others love it. At the Institute of high-performance computing at the University of Stuttgart this is done by large computers. Very large computers. It was founded in July 2005 in Vaihingen, but it looks back on a long tradition. The institute was established from the former institute for computer applications, department for computer simulation and visualisation.
Porsche 911
Whilst scientists are pondering perfect work organisation and working environments inside the Centre for Virtual Engineering (ZEV) at the House of Knowledge Work, we simply park perfect design in the form of the original 911 outside their door.
Porsche Carrera RS 2.7
Dreamtime outside the Porsche museum: this golden yellow Carrera RS 2.7 is entitled to present its sassy “ducktail” to the night, because in 1973 the fastest German production car of its time with a top speed of 240 km/h received the accolade “Dream car of the year”.
