Since its introduction in 1963, the Porsche 911 has provided the ultimate pairing of performance and practicality among the world’s sports cars, a vehicle that can be driven daily on the road and enjoyed during weekends at track events. The seventh generation of the 911 demonstrates this in convincing fashion.

In short, the seventh-generation Porsche 911 is longer, lower, has a wider front track and is loaded with state-of-the-art features: a new rear axle design to improve dynamic precision and stability, a new electro-mechanical power steering system, Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV), enhanced Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and enhanced dynamic engine mount technology. The result raises the bar in driving dynamics with even more sure-footed tracking and roll stability.

The Porsche 911 continues to exemplify the automaker’s commitment to the Porsche Intelligent Performance philosophy – improved performance using less fuel with increased efficiency and reduced emissions. The new 2017 911 Carrera, Carrera 4 and Targa models are a prime example of this. Powered by a new, highly efficient 3.0 liter twin turbo flat-six engine, they offer significantly more torque than their naturally aspirated predecessors, bringing performance to a higher level than ever before.

A new Performance Package available on the ELR also improves handling and braking with 20-inch summer-only performance tires on new sport wheels, front Brembo four-piston brake calipers, specific calibrations for the continuous damping control and electric power steering systems and a sport steering wheel with a thicker rim.

6. Lamborghini Huracán LP610-4

There is nothing from the past that rivals the technology of the new Huracán, which comes together in a perfect car that seems straight out of the future.

The first thrill you get will be looking at it. Sharp, aerodynamic lines designed to fend the air and tame the road. The second thrill will be when you touch it. The finest Italian craftsmanship lavished on the luxury finishing of unprecedented prestige and high quality. The third thrill will be when you press the ignition button and feel what it means to have a naturally aspirated V10 behind you. The last thrill will come from the light, when the 12,3”TFT dashboard beckon you into an incomparable driving experience.

Real power is having control over power. On one hand, there is the adrenalin of 610 CV (449 kW), 560 Nm, 325 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds. On the other hand, there is all the technology and the control in the electronically controlled AWD drive system, the mid-mounted naturally aspirated V10 engine and the Lamborghini Doppia Frizione (LDF) 7-speed dual clutch gearbox.

The entire cockpit was designed starting from the driver itself. The “form follows function” principle was applied diffusely in the interior, e. g. the integration of the main display in the instrument cluster gave the possibility to design a thin “bridge” center console, with a mobile phone holder below.

The standard sport seats include a standard electric backrest and longitudinal adjustment. Further, the customer may choose the convenient optional full-electric control for height, tilting and length adjustments, including seat heating.

5. Aston Martin V8 Vantage

Gregarious, exciting and with the authentic responses of a race winner, N430 makes any journey an event to savour. It is intensely involving – from the feedback playing back through the steering to the instant response of the 4.7-litre V8 engine, N430 seems alive to the driver’s every touch. Agile yet intuitive, N430 is the very essence of a sports car and feels special in any environment. The thrill of having a race winner at your fingertips will never fade.

A range of sporting brake caliper colours offers the opportunity to add further flair. Purposeful, dark finishes adorn the iconic exterior elements of V8 Vantage N430 – such as the front grille and side window surround. These, in combination with the lightweight graphite grey forged alloy wheels inspired by our race cars and the stunning CC100 concept, balance the bold liveries and complete the striking aesthetic. N430’s strong, motorsport-infused character is underscored with typical Aston Martin craftsmanship that results from our persistent focus on authentic materials and hand-crafted quality. Confident, playful and inspired by success, N430 is simply unmissable.

4. Mercedes-Benz S-class Coupe

You know that feeling when you sit in traffic, staring at the driver of another car, and wish you could trade places for just one day? The driver of a 2016 S‑Class Coupe doesn’t. Because whether it’s breathtaking performance, inimitable style, never-before-seen technologies, or must-have luxuries, there’s likely no other car so impervious to driver’s remorse. And that’s without adding “in combination” to the list above. An S‑Class exercises its industry leadership in virtually every arena individually—from driving assists that foresee the future, to craftsmanship that honors a legacy.

Something happens when you create a car for a limited audience: It’s unshackled from the burdens of convention. In the S‑Class Coupe, the result is a tradition of continually advancing the avantgarde. Its pillarless profile lets no framework interrupt its side windows, nor the flowing muscle of its flanks. Trim is rendered in sweeps of satin chrome. Its LED headlamps can be highlighted by 94 Swarovski® crystals. And its cabin envelops ultramodern luxuries in a three-dimensional sculpture of leather and wood.

The S‑Class Coupe cabin pairs two deeply held traditions: innovation you’ve likely never imagined, and handcraftsmanship most other automakers long ago forgot. Active multicontour front seats can instantly add side support as the car takes corners. There’s not a single lightbulb in the car, yet a network of more than 300 LEDs elevates cabin ambience to new dimensions—with seven colors, multiple zones, and variable brightness. The Panorama roof brings the sun and stars to all four of the individually contoured seats. And at a button’s touch, the available MAGIC SKY CONTROL® can darken the glass electrically.

While touching any surface of the S‑Class cabin is uniquely rewarding, the thoughtful amenities beneath it all can touch you deeply. Front seats can offer six massage programs, from stressreducing to rejuvenating. Two of them feature a “hot stone” effect that might make driving to the spa more enjoyable than the spa itself. All four seats, the steering wheel, and the three front armrests can be heated. Nappa leather is fitted by hand and offered in a wide palette, with exquisite designo leather at its pinnacle. Three-dimensional sculptures of hand-finished wood flow throughout the cabin. Six varieties range from traditional to exotic, all responsibly forested. And beneath the cabin’s surfaces, steam-expanded foams—a process pioneered by the S‑Class—eliminate harmful chemicals, while products from flax, coconut and olives sustainably support numerous cabin elements.

3. Jaguar F-type Coupe

The F-TYPE, Jaguar’s all-aluminium sports car, will in 2015 set new standards for dynamics and driver involvement with the addition of intelligent all-wheel drive (AWD) and six-speed manual transmission options, and Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) standard across the range.

The fundamentals remain true to Jaguar’s core DNA of lightweight construction, refined power, perfect proportions and outstanding design – but now the F-TYPE Coupé and Convertible models deliver an even more rewarding, intuitive drive across a broader range now spanning 14 derivatives.

The latest driveline and chassis technologies heighten the sense of connection between car and driver and enable the F-TYPE to provide an even greater breadth of dynamic capability.

“Our target with engineering the all-wheel drive F-TYPE was to maintain that engaging rear-drive character that’s so important to Jaguar sports car DNA, yet offer even greater dynamic capability. The result is a controllable, exploitable and blisteringly fast performance car in all weather and road conditions.

“With the manual transmission option for the V6 F-TYPEs, we’ve gone to intricate lengths to engineer a very precise, technical and responsive level of interaction between the driver, the clutch and the transmission shift mechanism. It’s one for the driving purists – and I count myself as one of them”.

For an added touch of exclusivity and technology, a new Carbon Fiber Trim Package available on 4C Coupe and 4C Spider appoints the use of the lightweight material on the instrument panel and shift bezels, instrument cluster surround and vent surrounds.

For a bespoke look that emphasizes the 4C and 4C Spider’s Italian style, Alfa Romeo is now offering a premium leather interior with Tobacco and Black sport seats paired with a Black leather interior detailed with Tobacco accent stitching.
