The ultimate competition in the automotive industry always was ‘who’s the fastest?’ Currently, the leadership is divided among a couple of hypercars with the price that exceeds $1 million.

Let’s see what are the top 5 fastest cars in the world.

The current record-holder is the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport World Record Edition. It reached the speed of 267.857 mph (431.074 km/h) in the official attempt for the Guinness World Records in 2010. However, some other cars that aren’t eligible for an official record due to limited production (the automaker has to build at least 30 units) are even faster.
