During the 2016 Petit Le Mans week, the DeltaWing Racing and Panoz teams organized a “20 Years of Racing with Don Panoz” celebratory reception for motorsports media and our sports car racing family and friends.
Serving as the master of ceremonies was the effervescent John Hindhaugh, IMSA Radio lead announcer and a Radio Le Mans stalwart since his debut in 1989. Ever knowledgeable about motorsports and witness to the Panoz racing history, Hindhaugh kept the evening rolling through an entertaining and informative Don Panoz interview.
Stories ranged from the first meeting with Adrian Reynard; the renewal of great North American circuits Road Atlanta, Sebring International Raceway, and Mosport (Canadian Tire Motorsports Park); the birth of the American Le Mans Series; and Panoz success at Le Mans, Sebring, and Nϋrburgring, to name a few.
This also was the debut of a new video celebrating the 20-year anniversary. We call it, “Don Panoz – One Word.”
