Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) today launched MirageG4NightDrive.com, a dual-screen, interactive experience in which drivers use their phone and laptop together to test the all-new 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage G4. The Mirage G4 went on sale last month at Mitsubishi showrooms across the country.

“The Mirage G4 offers consumers a package that is unmatched in the industry – with up to 42 highway MPG, best-in-class legroom, and of course our 10-year, 100,000-mile Powertrain Limited Warranty – all starting under $14,000,” said Francine Harsini, senior director, Marketing, MMNA. “Our Night Drive campaign is a fitting way to launch this vehicle with the opportunity for our target audience to engage with the car through their smartphones.”

The Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback and Mirage G4 sedan are the first in its price class to offer Apple CarPlay™ support and Android Auto™. Mitsubishi is letting site visitors connect their smartphones to take control of the Mirage G4 on a beautiful, mysterious and sleek midnight racing track.

After entering a unique URL, the user takes control of an interactive film, using intuitive kinetic gestures to move the car through various scenes. Features like the rearview camera, turning radius, Hill Start Assist and MPG are highlighted.

At the conclusion, the driver is assigned a Personality Type (such as “Wallet Watcher,” “Learner’s Permit” or “Mirage Master”), and also gets a highlight reel of their performance in the form of a shareable GIF.

The music in this experience is exclusively scored by Los Angeles-based DJ and electronic artist, Nosaj Thing.

A sibling to the well-established and popular Mirage hatchback, the all-new Mirage G4 brings consumers a fresh dose of clean style, environmental consciousness, agility, connectivity, affordability and value. Adding an element of surprise and delight to the subcompact segment, the Mirage G4 comes equipped with available smartphone integrations, features typically reserved for higher priced vehicles. Support for Apple CarPlay™, the smarter, safer way to use your iPhone in the car, lets drivers make calls, get directions optimized for traffic conditions, listen to music, and access messages. Android Auto™ extends the Android™ platform into the car in a way that’s purpose-built for driving.
