One of the rarest Ford products in history, the all-new Ford GT ultra-high-performance supercar is coming to first customers this summer.
It’ll be the ultimate American sports car with 600-hp 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine.
Expected Price
The exact price of this stunning vehicle is left unknown. The official site claims that the estimated starting MSRP will be somewhere in the mid $400,000’s (excluding options, taxes, registration and destination fees).
Production Capacity
Ford limited the production capacity to 250 Ford GTs per year, with the initial ordering period that covers two years of production (500 units in total).
Customers wanting to own Ford’s masterpiece can submit their applications at FordGT.com.
“The purchase process for the Ford GT is as unique as our all-new supercar,” said Henry Ford III, global marketing manager, Ford Performance. “We understand GT customers are strong ambassadors for Ford Motor Company, and we look forward to providing them a service as distinct as the car itself.”
Hybrid Windshield
Ford GT includes many innovations and technological advances concerning aerodynamics and driving abilities. However, one of the simplest yet effective innovations implemented in the Ford GT affects such a simple thing as the windshield. The supercar includes a tough, durable, scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass hybrid windshield that is about 30 percent lighter than traditional glass.
